I had surgery on 11/29 and I’m trying to not focus too much on the numbers on the scale or on my clothes.

My non scale victories since 11/29

Had to have a spacer put on my wedding ring

I’m wearing a coat I haven’t worn in 2 yrs

I got rid of my pre-surgery work uniforms

I’ve cleaned my closet twice already

What are your non scale victories?!

I had one this past week. I have been buying business class seats to travel for years because of my size and never wanting to be embarrassed or kicked off a flight. I've always had seat belt extensions as well. I took my first economy flight in years and fit in the seat and the seat belt actually fastened without an extension. Great feeling!

Traveling in a few weeks and just had a panic moment about how much my DL or passport don’t really look a lot like me.

I am overseas at the moment on vacation and when passing though China you have to scan your passport and look into a camera. I was rejected 3 times by the machine. A worker had to come over and verify it was me because i have lost so much weight. They let me right though of course but it did affect my travel in the smallest of ways!

I had one this week too. I went to get my bloodwork done for my follow up next week. Last time I did this it was a tight squeeze to get the arm rest down over my belly. Plenty of room this time! The phlebotomist didn’t really understand my excitement to be in her chair LOL ?

Yeah, I was planning some upcoming business travel and was offered a cheap upgrade to first class and thought “...but do I NEED it?”

I’ve been on two flights post-surgery where I’ve been in the middle seat and it’s been...well, maybe not comfortable, but not horrible, either.

You look beautiful! Congratulations.

I started measuring myself because the scale will stall and I don't want that to be how I measure success. I started measuring two weeks ago and have lost 9 inches total since then.

This past weekend my wife and I went to the movies. I was so nervous because I reserved the "cuddling" seats. The last time I did that years ago my wife was pressed up in that chair like it was a clown car. I was so big. This time, room to spare and lots of cuddles!
