In the past 2 weeks I have noticed that all of a sudden i can eat more than 2 ounces of food. Last night I had a piece of chicken that was 3 ounces or a little more. I couldn't seem to eat anything more than 2 ounces for the first 5 and a half months. Anyone else have this?
Las month i visited my surgeon and he asked if i was eating 3 ounces yet, I said not even close. He told me to work up to it, but it seems to have just happened.
Having said that I have lost 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks after a week to ten day stall. I need new pants!

I was a train wreck for about 3 days and then i couldn't have more than a few sips of water the first few days i was home. It's normal and you will be fine. You will literally grow into it, and learn how to chew food and not drink water at the same time like everyone else. Get ready for some big changes and weight loss. The fun has just started!

As for your blood clot question, it is normal. My best friend had it done before I did and he was puking clots of blood, which i never did after mine. He's fine, he went from 350 pounds to 174 pounds in 1 year. Hang in there.

As far as getting dizzy goes try to stay as hydrated as possible. I still get dizzy spells and i'm almost at 4 months post op but it doesn't bother me too much, i just pause and hang on to something for 5 seconds and go about my business.
2 weeks post surgery i couldn't even eat an ounce of food. I did a hardcore low carb diet since i've had surgery and my BP the last 4 times i've had it checked was 117/69 and they cut my BP meds in half. So if you had high BP that could also be why your getting dizzy, your body is adjusting.
It's all part of the surgery, it will come and go. I would urge you not to try to over eat. 4 months out an appropriate meal size for me is 2 slices of swiss cheese and 2 slices pepperoni's from the deli. I'm not sure what that comes out too but it's not much and fills me up for hours.

I just flew from Las Vegas to Charlotte NC three days ago. I didn't eat for about 17 hours and went straight to the grocery store and got what i needed. I don't worry about lugging food along with me. Seems like too much work when there isn't anything to worry about in the long run. Just buy what you need when you get there.

It is wonderful to read all your success stories and the mounting rewards as December 2018 sleevers! Wow.
My surgery was 12/17/2018 at NW Medical Center in Coral Springs, FL. I am currently three pounds away from onederland!!! A total of 57 pounds from 258 start weight the first of December. Usually major consecutive holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas thru New Years in the past, meant a weight gain for me. I tried to use restraint, but all the rich, high calorie "specialty foods" of the season just continued the never ending weight battle + cycle resulting in feeling more discouraged and hopeless with each passing year. :[
BUT NOT THIS New Year of 2019! I love my sleeve and so glad to have begun a new, hopeful and promising track! Does anyone else feel the same? Refreshing, right? My blood pressure and blood tests all came back healthy - And, left injured, problematic knee is much improved. Bowels have stabilized and vitamin regime no longer causes nausea. I follow closely Dr. V and my nutritionist's recommendations for balanced nutrition with moderate exercise, at this 3 ½ month juncture.
Other aspects I am thrilled about is the ability to be satisfied with so much less volume of food. I really have not missed sugar, salt or fat laden recipes and desserts. While I had made major changes in my diet losing 41 pounds (298 at highest point) before considering surgery last November, the sleeve just simplifies and propels me forward in getting to my healthy weight. I desire to drop another 40 pounds and feel the confidence I can now do so. Not to mention, keeping it off and maintaining a healthy weight via reduced stomach - Breaking the vicious cycle.
I have not seen the scale read under 200 pounds in over 23 years! That's a lot of baggage for this petite 5'0" frame and interior designer constantly on her feet. My clothes closet has been purged and taken to a quality consignment shoppe or Goodwill - Now shopping in regular departments for limited clothing in size large for tops and XL for slacks. Most of these sale items are quickly becoming too loose. So happy to no longer see 1X, 2X or 3X (at highest weight) on my clothing labels. Right? Excited for my size 10 and petite medium goal.
Really proud of all of us! Let's keep on sharing our victories and "all the nuances" of becoming our best physically and emotionally. None can truly appreciate nor understand this journey we embark... except for us. That makes us a pretty fabulous group of comrades. Happy spring everyone! ;]

You all are doing really well, i'm glad to hear. I eat around 800 cal. a day and close to zero carbs and i'm pretty hardcore about it. I try to do 20 to 60 min on the treadmill a few times a week. I've hit 3 or 4 peaks where i stay the same weight for a week and then the weight just drops off again. Keep up the good work everyone!

Hey everyone hope you are all doing well and dropping those pounds. I was just curious how everyone was doing that got surgery in December of 2018. I would love to hear some updates and how everything is going.
I had my surgery done by Dr. Marc Leduc. He works at the surgical weight control center in Las Vegas. I had my surgery done at Desert Springs Hospital. I had my surgery on Dec 10th 2018, so just under 4 months ago and I have lost 109 pounds so far. I'm loving the results!

I know the feeling. I can only tell a difference in my face and I've lost over 70 pounds. All my co-workers tell me I look fantastic and are super supportive but I still feel massive (And I am really) but I'm only 2 months into this so time will tell I suppose.

I hit a stall but it only lasted a week and I was about 6 weeks post op. I'm now 6 days away from my 2 month mark and I'm back to losing weight. So hang in there it will pass. When I hit the stall I started to walk every single day, about a mile and a half or so and I just ate chicken and cheese for all my meals. It jump started me losing weight again at about a pound per day.

I actually ate solid food 3 days after surgery with no complications. About a week after surgery I had chicken and turkey. Went for my check up and they told me to go back to liquid diet for 4 more days........ whatever I did. Lost over 70 pounds in 7 weeks since surgery so far.
