1 hour at a time. Find something that occupies your time and your mind so you're not thinking about food. Make sure you are getting at least 64 ounces of Water, Protein water, broth whatever you are allowed in addition to your Protein Shakes. You can do this and soon this phase will be forgotten and you'll be enjoying more and more things to eat along with better health.

I'm getting concerned, my surgery was a little over 2 weeks ago and I'm just starting stage 2. honestly before the surgery everyone was telling me how afterwards I wouldn't be hungry and I would only be able to take in about the amount of 3 shot glasses. I haven't noticed that at all.. I'm still always hungry and I can take in as much liquid as I want. It doesn't seem like my stomach is smaller.. Lol has anyone else that is farther along in this journey had that experience? Please someone give me some good news

I am 5 weeks out and had the same issue. The entire time I am thinking that I got DUPED! I just kept drinking my Water and my shakes and sugar free popcicles really helped me. I had a lot of head hunger and it takes a while to work through that one. I found that (this may sound weird) when I got like that I oils eat a listerine breath strip, gargle with listerine or just brush my teeth and then drink some water and it helped. Greek yogurt also helps a lot because of the Protein. I promise it gets better. Getting through the pre-op is hard, having the surgery is harder but getting through the 6-8 weeks post surgery is the hardest of the hard. I am 5 weeks out and down 30 pounds and just that little amount has made a huge difference in my over all well being. Eyes on the prize don't let your head get into your stomach!!!!!

First month I was painfully hungry. It was part of my healing. Yes some people never feel hunger some people do. I don't mind . I rarely feel hunger now 4 months out. But when I do I think I could eat a horse. Two bites later I'm stuffed..so that's the difference..feeling hunger isn't the be all and end all. It's okay

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
