My surgery is not until Nov 30th,but I have been looking in to purchasing my Vitamins from when I get home. What vitamins does everyone use and where do you purchase them and if possible can you attach a picture of the packaging looks like.

I would really like some insight about this:) Thanks

I just buy all my supplements directly from my doctors office. They sell the Bariatric Advantage stuff, and they sell them for cheaper than anywhere I could find online.

I'm not a fan of their Protein so I'll use something else going forward, but your surgeons office could be a good place to start

I also use bariatric advatage but, my Dr didn't allow me to use them until I was one month post op. I also take Noscabel which is a B12 inhaler (prescription needed). My insurance company pays for it with a $20 a month co pay.

Thank you, I was also thinking of the inhaler or a shot even though I hate needles it is once a month.

I'm 3-4 days post op and they had me advance to stage 2 and start my supplements .

Weird how different the time frame is. I guess it depends how much nauseous and vomiting you get as well as how you tolerate everything

It had nothing to do with nauseous or vomiting. My surgeon believes you can get by with a month before Vitamins so you can concentrate on the liquid phase and puree phase (2 weeks each).

My surgery isn't until Jan. 11, but I am going to start on my Vitamins early. I just purchased the Tespo liquid Vitamin dispenser and ordered the Men's Bariatric Plus vitamin subscription. My surgeons office uses the PatchMD vitamins but I feel like I'll have better absorption with a liquid than a topical vitamin.

I just went to my support group here in Phoenix and a rep from Nutrition Direct was there. With the RX for the Nascobal (b12) you get BariActive Multivitamin, Calcium + D3 & magnesium, and Iron + Vitamin c: all for the co-pay for the B12 if they take your insurance and they mail to you once a month. Good program if you qualify. Unfortunately they did not take my insurance [emoji26]
My DR had me start all my Vitamins 1 month pre-op. I take optisource multivitamin and BariMelts Calcium and I just found at Walgreens Natrol B12 in a chewable.< br>Good Luck [emoji106]

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
