Alright, Monday the 20th is the day scheduled for my surgery. Currently I've been on a liquid diet since the 30th of Oct. been the hardest thing I've ever done ! But thinking into the future I'm not sure I'm making the right decision. Has it been worth the struggles for you that have had the surgery?

@Paloomino78

struggles? what struggles?

YES, YES, YES for me it was

definitely worth it.!!

I had a very easy recovery

you might have some pain, gas,

other normal side effects right

after surgery.

but in the long run, for me, (and

many many/most OP) the WLS is

totally worth it!!

when/if you read bad stories/posts

they stick out in your head - you don't

see the posts about how wonderful

things have gone.

as far as your cold feet? - put a pair

of socks on silly head:D

common phrase many people say,

"my only regret is not doing WLS sooner"

good luck on monday

speedy recovery

kathy

Yes, it has been worth every moment since my surgery date of July 26, 2017. I just wish I would have done it sooner. It's normal to get cold feet as this is a big lifestyle decision. You still have a few more days to research, talk to others who had the surger and most importantly pray that you will have no regrets. It will take a few adjustments afterwards, but it's durable. I love my sleeve. I've lost a total of 80lbs and feel great. No more knee pain. Diabetis and high blood pressure is gone. You will do fine I wish you all the bes in the new and excited journey. Keep us posted. We're here to support you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
