That'd be 3 weeks. Yo-yo'd the same 2 pounds for 3 weeks, then one day I took a really good dump, pissed a lot and woke up the next morning 8lb lighter.

I was never worried though. As long as you maintain a calorie deficit, you will lose fat. Sometimes it just takes a while for Water weight to sort itself out.

Stay hydrated, lay off the salt and don't over eat. The three ingredients for a whoosh.

I have been stuck at 224 to 228 for about 2 months now, but my body has changed. So my weight may be stable my fat is dropping and my muscle is building. I can almost see my ab muscles!!! If I can lose 15 more lbs of body fat ill be happy.

I’m 9 months post op weight came off fast I lost 80 lbs. I haven’t lost a pound in 4 months I’m stuck at 270. I find myself eating more. They say it slows down but not a halt like this. I’m getting concerned [emoji45]

That's not really a stall or slowdown, that's eating maintenance.

Counting calories for a week can give you an idea of where you're going wrong. Your sedentary TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) with your current stats is around 2,800 cal so if you can bring your intake under that, you'll start losing again.

I've been stalled for a little over a month currently. Bouncing between 185-188 and it's so frustrating but I'm just sticking to my plan. I had a previous 5 week stall back around 6 months post op, I'm 10 months post op now, so I'm hoping this stall will break soon. I'm about 10 pounds from my surgeons initial goal. I typically stall about 2 weeks every month around my cycle. The week before and the week of I'm lucky if I lose a pound but I was losing 2-4 pounds the following 2 weeks.

My longest stall was 1 month, but remember you must set your goal weight not your surgeon, mines wanted me at 150 but I love my body & look now at 186 [emoji41] I knew I would be frail/sickIMG_20171104_182817_409.jpg looking at 150🙄

Month 7 and I seem to be stuck at 164-165. It's been about 4 weeks now. I also seem to be eating more than I could before month 6. I also seem to be drinking more alcohol. Yeah. I know what I'm doing wrong. It's not so much a matter of being stuck as it a matter of I haven't followed the plan for a month. Time to get it back together. I have 25 pounds to reach my goal and I really want it badly.

I know we're talking about stalls but I'm 16 months post op and have maintained my current weight give or take 3 lbs depending on time of the month since about my 1 year mark so I guess you could call it a stall-- I don't. My goal weight was 145. My birthday was 10/25 I got down to 146.8 was hoping to get there as a bday present to myself. BUT I'm at a point where I'm not going to sweat over these little lbs. I look great, my clothes fit amazing in fact I need smaller sizes. I have dress pants that I bought last year (size 8) slim fit so they were nice and snug for a while but now they have a relaxed fit and I could stand to go down a size. I ate 2 cupcakes my birthday week. Most of my indulging was in the form of the bubbly stuff (champagne) but otherwise I am back on my high Protein kick. Doing green smoothies in the am no meals after 7 pm and now I need to get back to being active. I think if I hit the gym 4 days a week for the rest of this month I'd easily hit goal. But I feel like I am goals. I just want to keep it that way.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
