I love that idea! Too bad I'm spending every penny I can scrape up on the surgery. Hope you share photos of the tattoo once you've made the decision.

I just got a really big one done this summer, but I am definitely going to get one once I hit goal :) Any excuse for a new tat lol but I'm thinking I'll do some sort of minimalist roman numeral thing, like HW-GW (so CCC-CLX)under one of my wrist tattoos.

Please share pics of tats or tat ideas! I love seeing the artwork. This is the one I got done this summer. Watercolor style, shows my journey on where I've lived: Cardinal is state bird of VA and IL, Oriole is state bird of MD, and a cherry blossom branch for my career in DC. Got it when I moved back home to IL :)

Mainly abdominal pain. I tend to sleep on my side and I can really feel the discomfort. I am sure it will be gone by the end of the week. What’s your major?

Hospitality Management... how many calories are u taking in. I use Myfitnesspal and I'm not having any problems taking in 1000-1200 calories at 2 weeks post op

It’s only Day 4. Not sure on the calorie intake. My stomach is gurgling when I am eating, drinking and when I’m doing nothing. I am even having a hard time figuring out if I am full or not. So much to learn!

I'm thinking of getting my hummingbird tat on the corner of my shoulder. Solid black. I think it's my spirit animal. I'll add more to my collection when I hit my gw.

I really liked the idea of a Phoenix, a bird rising from the ashes of my,past and flying on shining iridescent, wings into the futures Doesn't have to be large, not looking for a sleeve, maybe on the inside of my left wrist. The ancients used to believe the left arm and especially the left ring finger. had an direct, blood vessel link to the heart.
And if I didn't have the lymphadema poor circulation in my lower limbs I would have,a small angel with my son Kevin' s birth and death dates on either side . Somewhat like 5-7-1976👼1-11-2008. done form me, not necessarily for the world to see. My spirit animal would be,the bumblebee. If you think that borders on strange, let me explain. The little bumblebee 🐝is aerodynamically impossible. His little wings are too short to hold up his fat body. Nut no one ever told him this so he keeps flying until the day he dies. That's me, no one told me I didn't deserve Bariatric surgery, well a few did try, they were wrong on other things so I figured they were in error here too. So I fly or plod onward toward the goal, making a loud buzzing noise so they know I'm coming. And my wings beat a syncopated rhythm against the fog and pollution of life.🐝

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
