surgery time frame

I received a referral from my doctor due to several conditions plus a reoccuring chronic wound on my leg. the wound is mostly

caused by my weight and venous disease would the surgery be considered to be a quick turn around or would I still need to go through dietician and six months scheduling

I have also been taking phentermine for three months and have lost no weight. so I'm hoping the phentermine would be considered a diet regimen...help

You should call your insurance company to find out whether bariatric surgery is covered. If it is, then call around to find out which bariatric programs take your insurance. Then you should figure out which program seems like a good fit.

It sounds like your doctor has a surgeon in mind, and that is always a good place to start. You will likely have a long term relationship with your bariatric team so make sure you are comfortable.
