Ladies I feel great my incision is no where near as painful. Found this out yesterday. I am moving. Getting up and down almost normal. Drinking is a different topic seems like I am moving backwards with that. I am just always full. I think my surgeon took to much from me. I talked to my team they assured me it’s in my head 😂. How is everyone doing.

You're doing so great! I'm struggling with getting up and down with this pinched nerve - I keep laughing and it's making it worse! I can't help it! But doing the heating pad as recommended. Fluid I'm doing about 40oz but I don't feel dehydrated or light headed. Getting my little walks in, too! Can't believe tomorrow will be a week. One more week of liquids and then I can start my pureed on Thanksgiving. Is anyone hungry? I'm not really. food looks good but the thought of having to eat makes me kinda sick.

I haven’t felt it. I noticed yesterday. You will get there

As far as food go I need something to crunch I miss moving my mouth. My mom made bean stew I couldn’t help but to chew a bean. It felt so good to just move my jaw. I didn’t swallow cause I was scared. But I am ready for something different.

The numbers on the scale are going down. Now my problem with this is, is iit due to me not getting in what I need. I am starting to worry I am trying so hard to drink.

My incision pain is at a 2½ now compared to the 6 it was in the hospital. I too am moving around more. Just last night I started rolling over in bed. Can't stay in that position for very long but it's something. I am getting my fluids in I have an app I put in how much I've been drinking and it's been keeping "score" for me. I'm managing almost 50 oz a day of Water give or take. I'm also having popsicles and Protein Drinks as well as yogurt and Jello. I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. I don't want to think about cooking. I'm still a bit too tired for that activity. These healing naps are for the birds and I miss out on all the good stuff. Anyone else napping?

I work from home so went back to work yesterday and I miss the naps! By 4:30 I'm drained. Ugh I wish I didn't pinch this nerve I would be right with you on the pain scale!

Ugh I am right there with you . I never realized how much the chewing and textured mattered . I spoke to my Nutritionist about this today. It’s challenging and it has been messing with me on an emotional level that I didn’t expect. Nice to know I’m not alone in this.

I can’t wait to get back to normal things in my life. I layed in the guest bedroom up until yesterday. Work is next. I am a nurse so I am not going back until I am healed completely.

I work from home as well. Today was my first day back, sleeved on 11/8, I did ok but I'm glad I have just tomorrow before some days off. I think when I start working a 5 day stretch, it's going to be very trying & I'll be wishing I could nap!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
