I am
11 days from my surgery and it has gone really well. I was nervous as well and just tried to focus on my whys and the future and that helped me.. also prepping for after surgery helped a lot too... everyone’s journey is different and so breathe and try to relax as much as you can!! Good luck!!

Happy New Year! And congrats on your surgery. Im trying my best to relax i know i will be a mess on the big day. I've already prepped my surgeon for tears lol. But it's a new year, so new me. Thank you for the kind words.

I’m struggling so hard. I have no energy, no desire to consume anything. I feel like my liquids are just sitting in my chest. I nearly cried at how horrible I felt taking a shower this afternoon, even my cat was freaked out. (Haha he even waited to ask for his dinner)

Hi, all. Happy New Year!

I'm a little unhappy right now.

I'm, 5'6.75", was 220 lbs. So I'm a low BMI with masjid comorbidities.

We'll, I've been bedridden with the flu for two weeks. Finally feeling better but when weighed yesterday, I was down 15 lbs!

I have orientation on Tuesday at Kaiser So. San Francisco and am afraid of getting weighed and being rejected for the surgery.

Just need some support right now. I'm freaking out.

Thanks in advance.

I went through a different program but didn’t get weighed at orientation.

Perhaps the co-morbidities will be enough? Or can you postpone?

I watched a YouTube video of a woman just back from her orientation at Kaiser Sacramento I think and she said they were weighed.

My orientation is Tuesday so I'm going to call the center tomorrow and tell them the situation and ask if they weigh.

I'm not freaking out anymore. It is what it is. And if I have to be referred again, so be it.

Thank you for replying. I really, really appreciate it.

Hello! I live in the Bay Area and had my surgery on December 14 at Roseville SUTTER. I am currently experiencing a stall in my weight loss and am getting a bit discouraged! Anyone else experience a stall this early post op? (I’m 2 months post op)

:-) Just followed you! Maybe I should consider an Insta for just this journey. I'm pretty private about it so haven't posted anything but it might be nice to have a photo record.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
