20lbs a month

Recommended Posts

Hi all!
First I love my tool and I know I wouldn't have been as successful as I have been without it. Saying that I'm frustrated with a stall and bouncing between the same 3/4 lbs. How the heck can I gain 2-3 lbs in an hour!!! [emoji15][emoji30]
I know I shouldn't weigh as often as I do and that that is part of my misery. What can I say I'm addicted!!!
On 9/1 I had my 3 month follow up and my doctor said he wanted me at goal (170) by 6 months (12/1). That's another 60 or so pounds and about 20lbs/month. I don't see how that's possible unless I go on a 3 month liquid diet. And with this stall my mind cannot see the finish line.
I workout everyday burn around 250-300 calories per workout, keep my carbs low, average about 1000 calories/day, between 80-100 grams of Protein, I honestly stink at Water and that could be better. I'm strictly sticking to my plan. The NUT wants me to come in, I don't exactly know why, where can I tighten up except my water?
I always had it in my mind that I would lose slower because this is my second procedure and was ok with that but now I'm worrying that I'm messing this up. It's like they've never heard that revision patients might lose at a slower pace.
Any and all advice/critiques are welcome.

Holy cow! So your doctor expects you to have lost 111 pounds in a 6 month period. I haven't heard of a doctor expecting such a massive amoùnt of weight to be lost in such a short amount of time. I honestly think that is ridiculous.

It sounds like you are doing everything to follow the plan. I would not pay too much attention to trying to lose 60 more pounds over the next 3 months. Just keep doing what you are doing. You have already lost quite a good chunk of weight in the first 3 months and you should not be surprised if weight loss slows down a little, or if you have stalls along the way.

Cogratulations on the weight you've already lost.

Right?! I thought that was odd!! Their practice really goes by statistics and average excess weight loss per month to calculate this but I think it is really unrealistic for a second timer especially. When I mentioned that I was stalled he said it was too early for a stall. He's a great doctor and I really trust him but I think he may not have real life data about what goes on post-op.

Thanks! My brain still can't see the loss even though everyone else does.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
