August Sleevers-How are you doing??

I went out and had gauc and black Beans. It was amazing!! Would be pretty easy to make at home.

I think your idea of ricotta and sauce sounds delicious!

I've had a lot of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, ( I put hot sauce on mine), sometimes a just have a little bit of peanutbutter.

I get to start mushy foods tomorrow and I am stoked. The ricotta bake was nice and soft scrambled eggs were okay, but I'm ready to eat something new.
I'm continuing to track positively everything I eat and drink (even sugar free gum, even Vitamins, even hot tea) on MyFitnessPal and it does help. There are days where I get a little carried away early in the day and it helps to know I need to have a lower calorie or lower carb dinner. It's extraordinarily helpful in tracking Protein, too.
Plus--and let's be real here--all of us going down this road have WAY too much anxiety on our hands and spend INSANE amounts of time thinking and worrying about it. Having the food journaling as a little obsessive place I can focus some of that nervous energy is probably a good thing.

Try white chili with ground Turkey.

I gained another 0.3 kg between today and yesterday. I'm monitoring my caloric intake. So far, I've consumed 645 calories today.

I contacted my surgeon's office yesterday and they said not to worry. If I gain again tomorrow, I will phone my surgeon's office again tomorrow. As for menstruation... I am a transgender woman, I do not menstruate.

That's the objective. When I spoke with the nurses at my surgeon's office yesterday, she told me that she would expect me to lose 10% of my starting weight by my six-week appointment. Since I've already lost half that, it could come down.

When was surgery for you? I am at 2 weeks today and almost to 5%.

Oh cool we are very close. You are doing great. What are you eating? Are you on puree? I am struggling with that.

The remarkable thing is how different each of these programmes are. For me, they discharged me from the hospital as soon as I could handle full liquids, a couple of days later I could start the purée diet and now, I am on soft foods.

Man I feel cheated and jealous! I am supposed to do puree for 2 weeks. I feel I could avoid more carbs on soft/regular. But oh well.

I was in the hospital 2 days because of vomiting day 1. Doing ok since.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
