I am over this stall and becoming frustrated

Recommended Posts

Correct! Stalls happen to everyone, even those that do every single thing perfectly. Just keep to your program (don't be drinking milkshakes!).. and you'll be fine.
Every pound of fat you lose means the body has to work hard disassembling miles of blood vessels, and hundreds of thousands of cells. In order to accomplish the work, it holds onto fluids until that piece of work is complete, then it releases it. Then the process starts over.

Thank you so much for the info. Trying to stay positive.

I want everyone to work on getting their calories up to 700. That's your homework assignment!

I am stuck too..... i swim an hour every day and walk about 30 min. I am eating 700-800 calories, drink tons of Water and get the Protein. I am getting depressed, sleeved on 7-21, 16lbs lost. Keep thinking about reading the side effect of surgery, " you may not lose any weight"

There is a reason the average weight loss for the first month is 15-20lbs, when after the first 2 weeks we've lost 14. That 3rd week stall keeps the monthly total low.

Jeez, nothing has made me feel as good as reading THIS POST this morning. I'm really really really frustrated and unhappy and this helped tremendously.

Don't worry guys, 3-6 week stall is a real thing and it seems to have happened to everyone I've talked to. What broke it for me was getting in more calories. Just a bit more, nothing crazy. It will pass!

Could you possibly be gaining muscle?

We were sleeved around the same time and you are working out more than me. I do 30 mins 5 days a week. I've lost almost 13 lbs since surgery but I know part of it is my low bmi. I am not in a stall, every day lately several ounces disappear from the scale. But I lost nothing in the first two weeks I think.

I wondered that because I am definitely getting toned. The inches are melting off, I am getting toned, just the scale does not move. At the time I wrote this I dropped 2 more lbs. But now I am at a stall again. I,see my doc on the 13th and I hope I can get down 5 more lbs..... I am going into week 6. Some say weight starts to really move after week 6. Geesh I hope so.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
