I had my surgery on 11th October. I was in hospital for three days and thy sent me home last night around 8/9. The pain I got when I was in the hospital wasn't too bad at all and the surgeons said it was a textbook operation but coming home was awful. The pain the gas, lack of sleep was terrible. I'm walking more and I'm going to try a Protein Shake as I've just had lots of ice chips and water!!! I believe it's going to be worth it but the pain recently is intense!!!

Hi all, I’m due to have surgery on Monday morning. Feeling very anxious about it all even though I’ve have theband fitted and then removed few months back. I’m nervous even more so because my pre op diet has been a bit, erm, “slack”! Hope you’re recovery continues and if you have any tips, I’d love to hear them! X

I'm taking 5 weeks which includes the 3-day Thanksgiving break. My doc recommends 4 weeks, but I have the paid time available, so I'm taking it.

I have one more liquid diet week to go. I'm not drinking as much as I should today. I'll work better at it tomorrow.

Does anyone have the drain tube? I'm getting one and I heard it floats freely inside and can poke the insides. I meet with my doc in a few days, so I'll be sure to mention my concern. I learned about the tube last week at my pre-op class. [emoji15]

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
