My boyfriend or whatever you call him...lol and my best friend recorded me. Girl I was a complete mess. Once they start pumping those drugs in you...you will have no worries. Everything will be fine. It is like they rolled me into a party. lol. It has taken some getting use to. i was 3wks post op yesterday. It is a struggle finding pureed foods for me but I'm making it. Also only being able to eat about a ounce and a half of food seems a little weird.

Welcome. Just jump around on the various boards and comment or ask questions. There is a board for regional outreach, age groups, etc. I have seen other people from Louisville on here posting. Explore and ask someone you connect with to message you. You can put Louisville in the search box.

And you could share more info about yourself as well like - married, single, kids, degrees, interests, work, hobbies, fun stuff like that because talking only about issues gets a little old after awhile.

Good luck.

Start thinking about the new you thats about to happen. Go shopping & get something you want to get into. Make a list of all your meds & times you'll need to take them. Get organized with your drinks & items youll need post surgery. Get excited about your new journey that you worked so hard to get to!

Lol wish I knew. I was a hot mess the week before surgery. I spent a lot of time on here! It was wasted energy though because everything turned out great and yours should too. [emoji173]

I read the forums and comment when I feel like it- reading others posts and connecting with them will build your relationships on the site. I cruise the forums when I'm bored or want to eat something.
I've made some friends that ways I have only told a few people about my surgery so here is where I connect with people who understand what I'm going through or who can help Celebrate the little accomplishments.
So - that said, welcome!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
