I'm not too sure if this is where I should ask this but.....

Since my surgery, my hands have been very shaky. Not to low sugars or bad nutrition or anything like that. All is really good.

I'm not losing weight to fast, all blood work is done and looks great. My surgery was on Jan 17, 17.

Has anyone out there experience and does it get better? Or anything that made it better?

Thank you for listening, worries me sometimes when I try and do fine detail of something and my hands start to shake. Some days are better then others.

And no there is no history in my family of Parkinson's or anything. Like I said, it happened not to long after the surgery. Within the 1st or 2nd week.

This article describes shaky hands and some of the causes. http://www.webmd.com/brain/shaky-hands#1

One of the causes listed in the article was a lack of B12. Vitamin B12 is very important after surgery. My surgeon recommended 500 to 1000 micrograms sublingual B12 daily or 1000 mcg B12 injection once monthly. When this vitamin is taken sublingual, it is placed under the tongue until it dissolves. Anyways it is worth double checking to make sure you are getting this very important vitamin.

Thank you for your reply. All my blood levels came back good, we just went over them yesterday. I was very Thankful that they were all good. I do take the B12 in a shot monthly.

It is such a strange thing. Thank you for getting back to me.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
