I stopped weighing myself. It was rough. I want to weigh myself periodically now but I made a promise to myself not to do it and to only get weighed monthly at my follow up appointments. My fiancé took the scale away and everything. I was discouraging myself since the beginning (I'm about a month out) and I wasn't happy. I took the scale away, I'm following the plan, my dog hasn't been on better shape in his whole life because we're constantly walking, and I can feel the difference in my body, regardless of knowing my weight!

My engagement ring almost had to be sized again even though it's hot and humid!

So, seriously, stop weighing yourself. It's liberating.

Good luck everyone.

Wish I had your will power, it's almost harder than not eating that delicious unhealthy donut in the breakroom.

However, I do think that once you're in the last phase it is important to monitor your progress in case you're going a little off the rails so you can self correct. I think weekly is ideal vs daily. Right now I'm every other day. baby steps right?

I was sleeved two years ago and only weigh myself once a month. My weight has remained the most stable it's ever been in my adult life, fluctuating upward or downward by less than a pound.

Frequent weigh-ins will not prevent one from overeating or going off the rails. In addition, unless a person is falling off the wagon with eating, there's no valid reason to weigh in frequently.

Weekly/daily weights would result in anxiety for me. I prefer to live my life not beholden to the scale. Good luck to everyone during this lifelong journey to improved health. :)

I think I'm gonna stick to once a month weigh-ins as well. As long as you are accurately tracking calories and macros the weight loss will come. In the past when I weighed daily, yes, it did motivate me to lose weight fast, but I could never get past a week of doing this. When I weighed once a week, I used to be disappointed if I didn't lose an unreasonable amount of weight. This month was rough, but on the other hand, it was very peaceful. Anytime I started to worry about the scale I asked myself what I can do today to make sure I'm successful come weigh-in day, which has been helpful.

Everyone is so different with weigh ins. I did not for a few years except at the dr
Now, after 10 years I do try for every Friday morning... but if I forget, I wait another week. It doesn't change too much.... and if I go over my limit I am right on it....
Still. I'm human and we all fall down sometimes, right?
It is the getting up that helps me....and checking in with others here !!

I need to listen to this advice. My husband had surgery 2 weeks after I did and he has already blown past me in pounds lost. I'm getting so discouraged and irrationally thinking that the surgery isn't going to work for me. I'm only 4 weeks out, and I do feel better I just wish the pounds would keep up to my expectations...I'm taking the scale away. I did this to be happy not depressed which is what the scale is doing to me :-(

My wife has lost one lb less than me with no surgery. When I did my preop diet she did it with me and has stayed doing Keto since my surgery. I try not to be jealous or competitive with her because she's definitely more active and ten years younger. But damn, I had surgery! In all honesty I'm so grateful she's been eating well. It's helped me so much and I'm very happy for her. I know I couldn't have lost this much weight without surgery.
Back on topic. I'm weighing myself once a week mostly. Sometimes if I happen to be naked I might hop on. I don't log it though. I had a brutal stall but seem to be creeping down again. I'll play it by ear from here on out.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
