My day is coming up quickly. I'm self pay to this process has been relatively un stressful and incredibly fast. Still working on kicking the last of my bad choices with a shocking amount of ease. I have 200lbs to lose so this is going to be a long and difficult journey. Have y'all had any issues so far?

My insurance approval process and pre-op clearance has be incredibly easy. I expected there to be more hurdles, probably because I always assumed I was not overweight enough for WLS. (I have over 100 lbs to lose. I have totally been in denial about my weight!) I am scheduled for July 10th and I am totally nervous!

I'm scheduled for the 17th as well. Day one wasn't too bad, but we're allowed 1 serving each of fruit, vegetable, and starch in addition to our Protein Shakes and liquids. The broth and sugar-free popsicles have helped.

Oh i wish i could have lol. Im allowed 3 shakes and one Protein Bar a day along with broth, Jello, and popsicles. The broth seems the be my go too for when i feel hungry. Good luck

I weaned myself off of coffee when I started the program back in March. I like unsweetened iced tea so I bought Decaf teabags and made some for a little variety in the liquids.

I live alone so I purged pretty much everything I can't eat on Sunday night, including pickles (they were really old anyway).

I figure the better I am during these two weeks, the easier it will be after the surgery. Eating eggs and yogurt again is going to feel like a party. Lol.

We've made it this far. I'm sure we'll be fine. I have to go back to work tomorrow and I'm hoping it will be a good distraction. I've been doing two shakes plus berries and a cucumber on most workdays for the past few weeks so I really should be fine.

I will say that I've never noticed food online or in movies/tv shows as much as I have the last 2 days so I'm trying to limit my exposure. I have plenty of broth and popsicles on hand and they definitely help.

I am on the 17th also! Yesterday was easy on the shake only, but today is hell.. It's the 4th of July for goodness sake!! I think that will be the worst for me is family gatherings. I'm staying home and making my poor husband miserable.

I stayed home as well. I wouldn't have caved, but I wouldn't have enjoyed being around food at this point.

Sugar free popsicles are a nice treat though.

My surgeon was very kind with his diet requirements I think. No Snacks. Breakfast and lunch have to be Protein Shakes but dinner is 3oz lean Protein and a small portion of non-starchy vegetables. It's only supposed to be 1 week before surgery but I went ahead and started 2 weeks because I'm a glutton for punishment I guess lol. Have y'all found any clear protein that's not god awful yet? I LOVE Syntrax Nectar but it's hella pricey. Isopure tastes like butt so I'm pretty bummed out. I'm SICK of milky protein already.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
