You don't owe anyone an explanation!! Take care of yourself first. Ignore snarky comments as best you can (that's their monkeys and their circus). Be proud of how you handled your dinnertime challenge!

Thank you :) I appreciate you saying that

I'm all about the secret! I decided not to tell anyone just because I didn't want what or how much I eat to be a topic of conversation. It feels damn good to be normal. The people who pay attention to what I eat are people who want to lose weight or people that want to judge. I'm not interested in being someone's example or target. If I'm asked how I'm doing it I'm as honest as I can be. Low carb, Water, exercise and I take my Vitamins. I rarely go out to eat and when I do I just order what I want and a go box. If it raises eyebrows I just say I read it in a magazine that planning on having leftovers is a great way to eat less. That is absolutely true, I did read that somewhere. I get my meal and pack up half before I start...ha! Any snarky comments would be easily ignored. Early on I got a bit of snark but now that I have lost so much it makes more sense to them. Just roll with it. Eventually, you will feel like you eat more normally and most people generally don't care what or how you eat when your skinny. Not so when I was a big girl.

So I have chosen not to share my (future) WLS surgery with many people either. Just my support people. Simply because it's not their business. And as far as the food, order what you want, and take the rest to go. That way you can eat on it for several meals. If anyone is rude enough to point out that you didn't eat much, you simply tell them that you are until your body said it wasn't hungry anymore, but that you will definitely be able to enjoy the leftovers tomorrow for lunch.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
