Need to hold in the jiggles!!

Recommended Posts

So I have been really into working out both pre and post vsg--mostly Zumba and other group classes. I've lost about 50 lbs and I've noticed there's much more jiggle and bouncing when I move--butt, back, stomach, just everywhere. Does anyone have a good brand of workout clothes that help keep your body in place? I've never gotten any special work out gear before. Thanks in advance!!

I've not tried them myself yet, but I saw on another thread that Spanx makes workout clothes that do a good job of holding and supporting everything. The poster said expensive but worth it. I want to give them a try but will wait to lose most of my weight first because they are a little too pricey to only be able to wear for a short time.

I like under armor compression.. the mens sizes go larger and they work just fine. Somewhat expensive considering you'll be changing sizes, but who said this was going to be a cheap journey?!

@jwinters19

When you get smaller, the VS leggings and fabletics do a great job.

Since you are still in plus sizes and losing...

Danskin Compression leggings from Walmart perform very well, fit well and hold everything in.

You want high waist and since you are still losing, order down a size from what you wear right now, so they last you longer. They have stretch and snapback so if they have to work a little harder at first it will be okay.

I always get high waist leggings for maximum control.

Fila workout capris are great and you can usually get them on sale at Kohl's. Started in a 2x like you and now wearing Mediums.

JC Penny Xersion brand has cute plus size and is affordable. Their capris are about $15. I've worn them for rnnning 3x week for over a year and they are still in dec by shape.

      Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
