Hi! What great news!!! Amazing to think that in 2 months I will be able to eat regular food! I'm doing well...today for the first time I think I felt hungry! lol I am still on purée foods and am having a bit of a challenge with what exactly to eat...I have been eating the same thing for about 2 weeks lol maybe next week I will venture out and try something different. The scale is not moving but I expected that and hopefully soon it will!

So so glad to hear about ur success!!!

I move on to solids in two months as well. Oh yes by all means try new things it is truly fulfilling no pun intended. Yay!!!!!

Actually I believe this month I will be able to eat solid foods...during my check up. I eat pretty much the same thing everyday...protein shake for Breakfast, lentils with ground beef for lunch and dinner, sf pudding, either sf applesauce or Jello and 1 cheese stick. 40 ozs of Water

Sounds pretty good. When is your check up? Do you like ricotta cheese? Have you tried the ricotta bake? That is good. I also like adding unsweetened cocoa and some sweetener (of your choice) to ricotta. Like a dessert, if you've got a sweet tooth. Have you tried received Beans with cheese? That's my absolute favorite. I could eat it everyday. Lol

Well thank you so much. She laughs at me saying i can't dance. So i dance sitting down and get up here and there to do a little move but then i feel funny like dizzy so i sit and dance again. She loves dancing.

Well I can't wait until you can surely dance your butt off. 😂 I can imagine your daughter just loving every minute of it. Is she quite happy for you hon?

I'm going to make a ricotta bake this weekend. I tried Beans with cheese and my stomach did not like that...I was in the bathroom 20 min later lol

Hi Ladies, I went to my 1st post-op appointment with my surgeon and dietitian. Got there late but saw them both. My diet is advanced to soft foods in 2 months solid foods. I lost 7 more pounds from my visit with my pcp. The total amount since my surgery was 26 pounds from 380 to 354. They want me to incorporate aerobic exercise along with the walking. I asked do dancing count cause i dont have a treadmill or a stationary bike. So they it was fine i will join a gym once im back to working. Overall a great day. Yay!!!! I look forward to seeing your before and after photos @Newme17. Hi @Apple1 how are you doing? @patty0715 how is it going? @mishyk Any new happening with meals and dates?

That is so awesome @Sweet as peaches. There are many ways to get in some aerobic exercise and dancing is a good one. Anything that gets your heart pumping will work. I am doing fine. I am getting busy at work but I am feeling a lot less tired this week.

I tried some refrained Beans and for some reason they didn't agree with me either. My stomach just felt really full after only a couple of bites and I was really gassy.

I have been afraid to try anything spicy 🌶. Has it bothered you @Newme17?

Is it because you're cooking for one? I wouldn't know what to do with just myself. I suspect folks get creative, but always seems like too much food leftover. When does your hubby get home?

Ooh bummer. I did hear that the morenyou eat Beans the better tolerance you have of them. I eat them all the time, even before wls, so they don't affect me like that. Let us know how the bake goes for you. I ended up freezing them. So I pull one out when wanted.

Yes! It is so hard to cook just for me especially since a meal is like 2-4 oz. I grilled 4 chicken thighs on Sunday evening and it has taken me three days to eat them all...lol I am tired of chicken. My dh is going to be away all this week and next. I miss him already.

No it hasn't. It wasn't super spicy either. Only 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes for the whole recipe. My dinner Monday night was a little spicier but it didn't affect me at all either. I suspect it's the ppi working. 😉

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
