Thank you! I just got home. Everything's fine, and we even did my post op appointment so I didn't have to go in on Friday!

So glad everything turned out ok for you. How are you doing on your liquid and Protein consumption? I am trying to get to 50g and 50 oz today.

Everything looks good, food wise. I better get off Pinterest. Well, I know this is going to be a live and learn deal in the beginning, but I'm going to try a scrambled egg softened up with a splash of milk. Maybe.

EGG UPDATE:

Success!!!! Lol. I ate 1/2 an egg with a tad bit of low fat cheese on it. I was concerned at first because of how slow it was going down. I could feel it. So I opted to walk back and forth while I chewed on tiny bites. It was very hard to tell when I was full though. So, when I burped as if I needed to make room, I stopped. I didn't want to push it at all. I also didn't have the urge to want to eat everything I saw too. That's when I know my stomach has settled. Then I went for a walk at a Walmart. Lol. Had to get dog food and a salad for my husband, ended up buying more stuff, as always, but it was a good walk all around the store.

Another bit of great news....I'll have a functioning kitchen, I get my new countertops tomorrow

:)

I do think every surgeon has their own plan and most of the time there are slight differences. My plan had me on Clear Liquids only the first week while many are allowed Protein Shakes and yogurt. I have even seen that some docs go to purée on day 2 post-op.

I couldn't and wouldn't follow your plan. That's just too much for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
