I lost to 160 and gained 20 lbs. two years and the scale won't move. My surgeon says I am where I need to be. I don't like it, but we eat healthy, right, and I still push.

600 calories seems far too low. How are you able to get that much Protein in with so few calories? I hit a stall at 8 months as well and increased calories (I eat 1300 a day, average) and really focused on Water intake. I was able to get over the stall but it took a few weeks. Good luck!

I am also eight months, and I was noticing a very slow losing/stall. I was eating about 700 calories. I talked to my surgeon last month about adding in another meal because I am on a one shake and three meals with no Snacks plan. He agreed that my nutrition stats were good but I needed more calories. I am now eating about 800-900 and losing more. I am trying to increase my calories but not the carbs and it is working for me.

Thanks, everyone - I am still stalled at 174.6 now just a few pounds down but hopefully the increase will help. :)

That's exactly where the weight I'm at and have been stalled there for 4 months. I'm 8 months out

You should up your calories. My surgeon says I should be around 800-1000 and I'm only 7 weeks Post op.

I'm at 6 months and I've been around 600 cal the whole time with 60+ go of Protein. My surgeon and nut say 1000 cal is way too much at this point.

I'm stalled at 6 months out and I've only lost 50 pounds it's a slow process for me and it's so depressing sometimes. And now I feel like I can eat more that usual not sure what's happening there.

Oh my I feel the same way!!! I see other ppl lose so much more in their 1st 6 months. I keep thinking what am I doing wrong. Then I read a lot of other reviews and it reminds me that EVERYONE is different. I have lost weight and need to stop comparing myself to EVERYONE else. we are all winners here. We are all here for support and suggestions and we can do this together.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
