A lot of criticism on this app

LoL.. I read through the post.. I saw no name calling.

Before the point gets lost in needless and irrelevant back and forths, it still goes back to the same thing.

Decorum is key. some people want to label others as being 'sensitive' for feeling insulted by a post, yet are chagrined when others label them as 'rough mannered'.

Anyway, the thread was a chance for me to air certain opinions...

Long weekend coming up.
Have a good one..

Difference: I'm not complaining about opinions criticizing eating crap. I'm complaining about personal attacks, which no one but you is doing. Indeed decorum is key, and as stated in the very forum rules I talked about earlier, opinions are more than welcome, which includes criticism of eating candy. Bashing people for giving their opinion strays from that. Obviously neither you nor the OP know the difference, and are likely being far too sensitive to have a reasonable discussion with. Hopefully over the weekend you can settle down.

Lmao! It's like a reformed smoker. They are the worst and think they know it all. I'm doing great with my sleeve. Surgeon and nut are very pleased. Of course they were much more understanding about the peeps than some peeps on this app. Haha

I had my 1 month post-op visit today and have been doing well. However, I told my surgeon it is my birthday next week and I am going to have some ice cream. She said she would prefer I had something else to Celebrate but as long as I have just a tiny bit and then no more it would be ok.

I don't mind being called 'far too sensitive'. It's a chic magnet.

What isn't, is nagging.

Be a person of your word too.

Opinions are welcome.. even over sensitive ones right?

As for being agitated, I'm having quite a bit of fun. Too bad its good friday so I have been banned from 'conjuring up demons'

I think you're unreasonably angry. Maybe you need to eat a peep

Surely you can see the irony in a person dishing out tough love, then complaining about tough feedback?

[...]

People that demand others have thick skin should prepare to have theirs tested too.

This.

We had a lot of that here before certain users decided to leave. Talking about "wearing the big girl's panties" and "hey, this is rants & raves" while their own big girl's panties were hiding in the closet when someone fired back in the same manner.

Namecalling people is not tough love, that's called ad hominem.

Seems like you're kind of glad middus made that linguistic lapsus (people being rude vs. rude people) so there's some ammunition to use against him.

That's why I made this thread.. I was so angry I wanted to complain a lot about people giving an opinion about eating garbage (and likewise lure several familiar trolls as well). Wait, I didn't.

But no thanks, no crap for me. KkYcySk.gif

Peeps are disgusting. Not because they have sugar etc but because they taste horrible.

I feel free to judge Peeps and feel like the company that makes them should feel bad due to their substandard product.

I agree with this completely. I don't see anything wrong whatsoever with honesty, nor do I see how any of those posts cited are berating whatsoever. I think OP is being very sensitive and merely looking for posts that validate their behaviors.

You don't see anything wrong with this above comment?????honesty is appreciated even welcomed but to tell someone they are not worthy? Seriously you must have your head in the clouds

When one gets offended by harmless criticism and starts making topics whining about it, they deserve the retort. If one wants to make posts about eating garbage and not hear opinions from others, maybe put in their signature "I'm too sensitive for honest opinions" so then people can praise them instead. They'll completely screw up their surgery but at least they'll be free of people critiquing their choices. :)

You are missing the point...my response had nothing to do with the critique or unsolicited opinions.....it was the statement saying they are not worthy of their time or experience. Read it carefully before agreeing to something that is ridiculous. We are all human and we all fall short....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
