Ok I think I am eating too fast. How do you guys slow yourselves down? I just had Ricotta bake and feel like I am dying from being overfull. I know I did it to myself.

I listen to my stomach and it slows me right down. I had sleeve surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. I'm in the mushy/pureed "food" stage. After a few spoonfuls of whatever I choose, I start to get a tad bit nauseous and I push the plate away and Will Not eat anything else and that feeling goes away after 30 minutes. I don't want to vomit or add to my discomfort...so, I just stop, drop, and roll...I know when enough is enough right now!

How many times are you eating a day?

I eat "mushy/ pureed food" once a day...and drink a Premier Protein shake and try to get my fluids in with sugar free popsicles, lemonade & Water. My taste buds have changed since surgery. There is not alot of room in this new stomach. I'd rather drink a Protein Shake than feel nauseous from eating something that doesn't agree with me. I know my appetite will improve but until then....Im watching what I eat.

I don't get a full feeling when I eat. I get this weird bubbling in my stomach and that's how I know it's time to push the plate away. I usually don't feel full until about 10 minutes after I'm done eating

I get pain. Right after I eat.

When I got to the pureed stage 4 days ago I over ate the first "meal" of Greek yogurt. So the next time, I got a table spoon and ate 1 tbsp over 5 minutes. Then I did another tbsp over 5 min and then repeated again. By the end of the 3rd tbsp I was starting to have a sensation of getting full so I very slowly ate the 4th one and that was all I could handle. Now I know not to exceed 4 tbsp of intake at each "meal." I find that if I stay closer to 3 tsbp then I don't get uncomfortable but am still full and satisfied.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
