  4. i am at 8 weeks as well and eat about 3-4 bites tops of most things . I have one protein shake and try to eat protein throughout the day in small meals . cheese, chicken, yogurt, peanut butter, hummus more meat etc along with water . Theres the medical way and then there is the way that suits u and lifestyle ,consider doing 5-6 smaller meals for a day i think its easier then .

  9. Going into my 7th week after surgery and I went to taking my capsule multivitamin! Chewable's are disgusting! I still take the chewable calcium but will replace that stat as well.

  19. No we can't poppybelle12, we certainly can't turn back now. Pstarf stop with the exercising and focus on one thing, yesterday I was up at 7 drinking water , I focused on getting it in today I tried the same and getting the protein shakes as well. Cut yourself some slack the body is loosing at least 1-2 pounds daily now adding exercise will only deplete what you are building up....in a few weeks we will be full blown gym rats
  20. It's not altogether gone ( the gas) for me! Yesterday was 3 weeks after surgery and the doc said more you walk and move around it could squeak out the rest hiding in pockets of the body , lol think he's right

  24. Those chewable vitamins I can't stand! I am good at popping pills can't wait to down the hatch as opposed to chewing and tasting that sweetness and using water to crush them! Oh shoot me now!!!!!! Today I literally had 3 bottles of water 48 oz , I felt like I had won the Super Bowl! ( it's the small things) but only one bottle of protein ( wonk wonk)..... I don't plan on exercising till about 2 months when I have enough energy to go. I believe it is all temporary otherwise I want the rest of my stomach back!!!
  25. Get moving walk that hallway! It's gas, when I got home to my own room I was able to open my legs and really let it rip! And god bless that I've with fluids, getting my water in as well as protein has been a pisser! I got sleeved 2/1
  26. Yup all we can a little bit at a time! We ate obliviously for years and didn't die, this little bit will be ok and we will get through it!!!
  27. I'm 2 weeks in and still can't get 2 protein shakes in and a bottle of water! It's tough and not feeling hungry doesn't signal the plane! Take it one day at a time, it gets better I am told ....
  28. I ate at my fav restaurants to get it out of my system ! I love seafood so plenty lobster shrim and wings! I didn't go overboard or binge but i felt like it would be a while so just to get it out my head !
  29. I had mushy eggs, mushy Beans and mushy corn beef hash and literally grazed on that all day! Not too romantic but practical
  30. Sally628, the gerd doesn't negate the surgery! There are still way more pros... gerd is just an annoyance!
  31. I came here and voila the topic I am looking for! Today is 2 weeks after surgery and the gerd is being heard loud n clear! Wth??? I never suffered with this before but a few nights I notice I couldn't sleep and wondered what it was! I described it to hubby who knew right away as he suffers With heartburn! I took a tums tonight but then read I shouldn't have... I see my nutritionist in a few days and we will get to the bottom of this! Annoying as heck....
