Eating really isn't the point right now. Just focus on Water and little sips of broth for a week or so, walking and relaxing.

I was also sleeved yesterday and because I was unable to even keep Water down, I have to stay amother night. Today has been a lot better though. They think it was the pain medicine making me sick, so we stopped that. I didnt have any gas pains, just feel like ive done a thousand crunches, lol. Good luck to everyone and prayers for speedy recoveries [emoji4]

Day 17 - down 22 lbs from surgery. Heading back to work on Tuesday. Currently on purees. Some residual nerve damage/pain to the left of my belly button. chewable Probiotics might be my best friend. Incisions are almost all the way healed.

Wearing an abdominal binder for additional support/gentle reminder not to lift.

Me too!! I had surgery Thursday. The upper GI that was done to check for leaks made me so sick and the pain meds made me nauseous too. They changed my pain meds and gave me a medication for nausea. It's been better since yesterday evening. I have the rubbles and gurgling too. And had diarrhea as soon as I got home. Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. I hope it passes soon. Hope your feeling better soon.

I just had surgery on Wednesday as well. The gas pain was absolutely miserable but luckily just about gone now. I had a drain and the removal was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. I usually get nauseous very easily so I've been sooo happy that I haven't been sick and am handling 50-60 ounces of Fluid per day without problem. I hope all my fellow April sleepers are continuing to recover well!

I had surgery Thursday. The first day was a struggle. Today I got about 50 oz in Water, sugar free Jello, sugar free water ice and broth.although my stomach doesn't seem to like very cold stuff. I haven't taken any more pain meds other than Tylenol. I am more uncomfortable than in pain. Gas is making its way through without major pain.. so far so good hope everyone is feeling better every day!

I had surgery yesterday and first day was horrible. I was in a lot of pain and horrible gas pain in my shoulder. I didn't have a lot of issues with nausea except when given pain meds but was able to keep it down and it passed within a few minutes. Today I was allowed to drink Water through the day and I have been walking a lot. This definitely helped with gas pain. Tomorrow I can start a liquid diet and if I am able to keep it down I should get to go home.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
