I am 5'8, 377 pounds was my starting weight I am down to 223 today.

That's awesome! I am starting at a little less, but I hope to have as much success as you! Any advice for post surgery success? I'm scheduled for June 14

Just follow everything the doctor says and exercise I try to work out at least 5-6 days a week. It really sped up the process for me! Good luck! I'm so happy for you, you'll do great!

You look great! I had surgery Oct 3 in Mexico with Dr. Cabrera (awesome), just over 5 mths ago. My starting wt: 350 CW: 227 I am 5ft3. I have alot of loose skin and am trying to keep extra hydrated to help with that. I do 30 min cardio and 40 min resistance bands. YOU LOOK AWESOME. I also am curious as to what exercises you are doing and other things to skin looking good.[emoji109][emoji109][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

I definitely plan on working out often. I lost 110lbs before with just diet and exercise, but I just don't feel like I can do it again on my own. What kind of workouts do you do? I used to do 45min cardio and weights alternating arms and legs each day.

This is so awesome! Congrats! And thanks for the motivation:) I feel like I'm looking into my future! I had the sleeve done 1/31/17 and just had my 2nd post op follow up Appt and I'm down 33lbs since surgery putting me at 53lbs overall in about two months. I'm a polynesian dancer so I do hardcore cardio workouts with my team two hours twice a week and go to the gym 3-4 times a week. You look fantastic!!!

You look great! I'm scheduled for 2 weeks from tomorrow. What type of exercise are you doing? I plan on spinning for my cardio, but the nearest gym I have is an hour away and so the strength training is what I'm concerned about. Any suggestions and what do you do for strength training?

I lift every day, not heavy lifting though. I take 10 pound weights and do all different types of arm workouts, squats and leg presses for my legs.. and much more.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
