Renewedhope,

i can relate. the day after my surgery we went to Hobby Lobby and i over did it. i paid for it the next day. I didn't have a lot of gas pain but they say walking helps (I couldn't do a whole lot of walking though due to nausea). Hope you feel better.

I feel better this morning. I think the walking at Walmart probably helped. One of the reasons I went was because of the gas pain. I think I just stayed too long. I am having much less gas today. I slept very well last night. I am having a little watery/bloody drainage from my port incision site. I have a cal in to the doctor. I am hoping it is no big deal. I just put a peice of gauze and tape over it. It's not draining a lot, but it is draining. I will keep you posted.

have a great day!!

Jeannie,

I am doing great!!! I feel like everythings back to normal now...just waiting to get my 1st fill on Nov. 1st. I've been walking almost everyday and actually started jogging a little. I found that the sugar busters diet wasn't all that bad because i still got to have bread and carbs in whole grain form. I'm really excited for you. Thanks for all the support and keep me posted on your progress. God bless!!!!

Just giving an update on my surgery. I was banded Oct. 18. No fill yet, but I have already lost 16 pounds. Started Protein Shakes which is going well. My incision sites are all healing except one. One has opened and draining slightly, but the docs said it was okay, just ot keep it clean and covered!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
