Looking for a buddy

@hajoura-sweet ok that's very encouraging. What's funny is different things I've read spooked me so much I said I was emailing my surgeon Monday morning requesting to post pone another month. I'm telling you sometimes my mind becomes two shades in the wind off thinking of wayyyyy too much.

I am so happy to hear you've done so well. I had VSG 4/14/14 and I remember saying to myself what on earth have you done. That feeling passed within the first week.

Please keep in touch and share everything that comes to mind hahahahaha.

Oh no definitely don't post pone! Go for it you deserve it
Don't think on it too much.. i would suggest even keeping your mind busy with other things other than food and weight loss.
People have different reviews on the VSG surgery.. i personally think this one will do it for you!

think of a hobby that you like and try keeping your self busy with that don't think too much on it.. it will drive you crazy.. after a few months or even weeks you won't recognise you're self in the mirror..
i suggest that you maybe buy a sexy dress or a outfit that you hope to fit into someday in a size 10 or 8 and just hang it in your wardrobe.. make sure you see it everyday in a few months this is your goal.. stay focused.. other people who discourage you are 90% of the time too intimidated by the new hot you that they know you will become don't bat an eyelid !

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
