Recommended Posts

Day 1 and I'm a little hangry but one day closer ! As I came running in from work to get in my comfy pjs I realize that I can't wait to not just want to run home and put my pjs on! I can't wait to have the energy everyone talks about . When does the energy come I wonder .Today eating approximately 1000 calories w e trembly low carbs I'm not feeling energetic at all. I'm just wondering if post op you are eating even less , where does the energy come from ?

I had a prolonged hospital stay, but the first week back at home was rough and had no energy at all. I would get up and do some light housework from time to time, but usually I was wiped out after 5-10 minutes. Your body has been through a lot with surgery so between the natural healing process and low carbs/calories it can be difficult. Others seem like they could go run a mile a week after surgery, others stuck to the couch. I was on the couch side...lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
