Anyone tried stomach taping or bandaging?

Recommended Posts

I am getting married April 1 and have the almost perfect wedding dress except Spanx are not doing the job with my loose skin. The back of the dress is fairly low so my compression garment can't be too high and the material is too thin to wear boning (it will show). I bought it thinking spanx would work but I need to either bandage this skin somehow or tape it to give a smoother appearance. I found a product on Amazon called Skinnies that can be used for stomach, arms and thighs and wondering if anyone has had luck with it or can suggest something else. Surran wrap would be just too hot for my Texas wedding. Down 150 lbs! I didn't want to have plastics before pregnancy.

I wouldnt sweat it. No one will notice your skin. Dont stress over trivial BS, youre healthier and will live a more active life, dot let some skin drag you down.

Beautiful dress. I think you look great in it!! I agree with the others who have suggested a heavier material for the skirt.

Congratulations on the weight loss :)

Well first congratulations. I'll let the ladies give you suggestions cuz I'm not very good at that. But from a guy's perspective you look wonderful. Spend the time now to get as good as you can get and then forget about it and enjoy the process. You look wonderfully beautiful and sexy. And he's a lucky guy and he knows that. Don't let the little things bug you.

Yeah, I wouldn't do duct tape for fear of hurting your skin. Not sure if there is room for a heavier liner. Maybe keep looking for compression garments. Some can be very sturdy.

Either way, you are beautiful!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
