NOVEMBER SLEEVERS! HOW MUCH HAVE YOU LOST SINCE NOVEMBER SLEEVE SURGERY AND HOW DID YOU LOST ALL WEIGHT! Thank you

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

feeling lost.

ive stalled badly last two months.

im now 241, down from surgery weight of 295. Since November I feel like I should be much less than I am. This distresses me. I know everyone's journey is different but my body is sooo stubborn I honestly don't know what to do.

i exercise 5 days a week.

but I have started to eat more. 1200 calories.

this far out please tell me what the magical number for eating is. It was so much easier in the beginning because it was so clear. I don't know right now in my journey. The number of calories, Water, Protein etc are a bit fuzzy.

please help. :(

@Hazel_eyez i don't know what to eat anymore....i have changed my diet and nothing changes, what is your diet ?

I'm sorry, I am barely on here anymore. I do a low carb diet with no more than 20g of carbs and I try to keep my Protein up with Protein Drinks, chicken, fish, and bison mostly. For "sugary" snack Quest bars, sugar free Jello (splenda), or kind bars. I also munch on celery, grape tomatoes, carrots, sunflower seeds, cucumbers and sometimes broccoli. Surgery weight: 220lbs
Current weight: 170lbs
Goal weight: 143lbs
27 lbs to go.
I train regularly and I see how my body has responded and changed. I'm more defined. My muscles more toned. Unfortunately some skin hanging in my belly but I'm so happy about this surgery!!! IMG_8096.thumb.JPG.67c9f5f624da32591b5a9996627e2516.JPGIt changed my life. It's amazing to see how much attention I get again, I feel like I'm back in my30s.
WE CAN DO IT!!

Yes, lady keep it up[emoji7] I have a little extra tummy skin as well and my boobs are non-existent without a push up bra but I may get surgery for them. I will see what muscle gains can do first. [emoji1]

Sleeved 11/9/16

HW: 260

SW: 242

CW: 159

Sizes: (pre surgery) = size 2x and 20W pants GOOD-BYE LANE BRYANT!

(currently) = s/m and 6 pants HELLO EVERY STORE IN THE MALL!!!

I FINALLY BROKE 100 although the weight is slow.slow.slowly coming off now. I'm okay with that (most days)... I still choose Protein 1st, limit carbs, and weight train a few times a week. I don't log individual nutrients but stay mindful of popular concerns (protein, carbs, Water, fat, activity, etc).

My body doesn't seem to tolerate some things as easily as it did before - I no longer eat Pasta of any kind, have difficulty eating rice and bread is severely limited. I don't miss any of it except the sushi rolls... which I still have, just only a bite or two rather than a roll or two !!! LOL Pre-surgery I would indulge in ice cream every.single.day. I have absolutely no desire for ice cream or brownies anymore. I use vanilla Premier Protein instead of Creamer in my morning coffee...

The 2nd best decision I made was to hire a personal trainer. Besides building muscle, it's rebuilding my confidence. It's helped in becoming more social and it's holding me accountable - it's an investment I'm thankful I can make and one that addresses many areas within - physical and mental. I feel so much better in my clothes, too!

It's very encouraging to see the progress of others. I've picked up a lot of tips from these forums and find many things about them to be useful. I do however, try not to get caught up in comparing myself and my journey to everyone else. It took a good long while for that to sink in my head - not everyone moves along at the same pace. In the beginning it was sometimes discouraging for me (I'm a wee bit competitive). Hind sight, I'm where I need to be and am moving along just fine.

I.Am.Happy. :)

HW (end August 2016): 334 lbs

SW: 312 lbs

CW: 211 lbs

Surg date: 11/14/16

51 more pounds to go!

High Protein, low carb. Finally worked my daily calorie intake to 1,200 a day, and it is really making the weight drop off the past two months. For a couple of months prior to that, I couldn't get my calories above 900 a day, and as a result, I was not losing any weight.

Congratulations to everyone!

Hello everybody!!!
How are you doing?!
I was sleeved On NOV 31st. I can tell that so far i have lost 70 pounds. Still losing But muuuuch slowly. Im currently 160lbs. My goal Weight is 145lbs.

It's amazing how this surgery changed my life. If i went back on time, I would do it again in a heart beat! I wish I did it earlier.

I train 3 times a week, weightlifting n some cardio. My body is much toned. I even see now some abs. In December I'm giving myself plastics surgery as a xmas present. Tummy Tuck, breast implants and some Lipo. Can't wait any longer! I went last week to a consultation with the surgeon. He said that I'm a good candidate for a mummy makeover. I must confess that it scare the sh*t out of me just thinking of the pain but I really want to do this. I want my pre children body!!

Anyone considering plastics at this point?

I think it's too early to consider plastics, honestly. My doctor's office won't even talk to you about it until 18 months out -- that's how long it takes for any skin that's going to snap back to actually snap back.

Im not sure whether it is too early since I expect go be at my goal weight before my anniversary. I'm already in the high end of being normal weight. I have 26% fat percent which for a woman is fine. I see the skin of my tummy, oh gosh!
Anyway, I think every case is different. My doctors are ok with my Tummy Tuck and breast augmentation. Thanks for your response.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
