  3. I'm 10 months out and here's a typical day for me: Bfast: Premier protein shake 9am: Greek yogurt with couple of grapes Lunch: half an Atkins meal PM Snack: cup of coffee Dinner: 2-3 oz mahi and asparagus If I'm low on protein I'll supplement with a little genepro. I always get in at least 125 oz (about a gallon) of water each day. I'm still not hungry most of the time so I have to make myself hit the daily goals. I'm currently down 95.5 lb and am losing 5-7 lb/ month. I have 30 lb to goal weight. Stats: Height 5'11" female SW 295.5 11/14/16 CW 200.0 (almost there!!) GW 170
  4. 5'11" female HW 303 SW 295.5 on 11/14/16 CW 200.6 (so close to ONE-derland!!!!) GW 170... I'm only losing about 5 lb/month so I doubt I'll hit that by surgery anniversary. I'm ok with that though bc I'm sticking to the plan with protein, water, low carbs...i know I'll get there!!
  5. Me too! I've been going to bed by 8pm and sleeping until 5:30!! Sunday, I took a 3 hour nap and STILL went to bed at 7:30 without trouble. My surgery was also 11/14 and I have a follow up with my surgeon to review labs. I'll definitely be discussing with him.
  6. I was sleeved the morning of 11/14 & went home that afternoon. I was worried, too, BUT! No complications and recovery had been a breeze. My surgeon tests for leaks 3 times during surgery so there was no need for a radiology exam.

  15. Btw, my doc is the Medical Director of bariatric surgery at my hospital in atlanta. He came highly recommended and has been fabulous.
  16. I had VSG on 11/14 @ 7:30 am. I dealt with quite a bit of gas discomfort and nausea in recovery. I received meds to treat that. (Keep in mind, I had to comprehension of time for several hours, lol) Also, when I got up to walk the first time, I was HORRENDOUSLY nauseated. Again, got more meds and that knocked it out. By 1pm I was up in bed eating ice chips and sipping Water. By 1:30 I was walking around the nursing unit. By 3:30 I was discharged and at 4, I was picking my kids up from daycare (with my husband). After the initial nausea/gas pain was resolved, I had a text book perfect recovery. I'm glad I could sleep in my own bed that night! =)
