Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi

I have decided to get the procedure done - just have to save up for it. I live in uk and want to go to Brussels as it seems cheapest and safest there. Anyone know of the above?

Thanks

Bless all you newly banded peoples, so made up for you, seeing the scales moving down is a wonderful feeling.

welcome Oliverdog, well done on your decision, you wont look back.

Carrie, I think you're right hunny but on Saturday teatime I ate (very slowly and well chewed) chicken thigh and I suffered a lot of discomfort for about 3 hours couldnt even take a sip of water.

yesterday i had one of those diet shakes, that gym freaks use full of vits and not many calories, but apart from the usual 2 cream crackers with marmite i only managed a teaspoon of lamb curry, was too full, but my head said 'I'm hungry' I hate when that happens.

This morning I have eaten my C crackers with only clover on and most of the yolks of 2 boiled eggs. Thats not much good for my constipation though is it.

Carrie, though you may be heartbroken at the moment, time will heal you darling, and you will find someone even better. You are a beautiful young girl and someones out there looking for you right now.

I am a great believer in...everything happens for a reason.

Gillian and Big sis, you pair crack me up, dont forget the knee length pink bloomers when you're sat in that rocker, and yes I am the mammy, old fart that I am, but still loving life!!!

Poor CA, why did you have to have all your fills out? If you went for a 2nd one, were you ok before that?

Seems weird. I hope you have restriction hunny.

i was fine with the 6ml i had in the he took then out ant put 8 new ml's in t=and then i was sisk as a dog could not get anything down me at all. so i have no fill's in right now just the band and am felling so sad with it all. i wish i did not have it done right now and had the bypass insted..

lets wait untill the 10th sep and go from there ,

I would also try and find another job to get away from your sisters dreadful attitude. Families eh...

Thanks Westie, maybe one day when I have more self confidence, I'll go out there and get myself a job where I'm not at the family's beck and call. Meantime, I'm the lardy lump in the corner that gets kicked around by everyone.

On more constructive note, I have two ways of dealing with stress. 1) I eat (don't we all?)

2) I make lists. So, having read every post on this thread, I've made a list for myself and all those others booked to go to Chris for surgery. I hope it helps someone!

Thanks for the kind words it is much appreciated. For me i could not really see the difference until i put the pictures up.

Thats me weighed in for the month this morning and i have lost 9lb taking me to a total of 6 stone 3lb so well chuffed with that.

So for anyone starting there journey or stuck on the same weight IT CAN BE DONE.

Never did i think last year i would start to feel so good about myself. The more weight i loose the more confident i feel.:)

Good luck to Gary and the girls that are flying out for there ops tomorrow.

BoBo, your weight loss is a fantastic achievement, it gives me so much hope that one day I will lose that much weight also and feel so confident again !!

My last encounter with men was 5 months ago and I'm currenly not dating or looking for anyone because of how I feel and look, so the quicker the 11th Sept comes around the better and MAYBE after Christmas, I can go back on the market again !!!

I've signed up with Wendy at WLS for my fills. I've noticed that you have practically gone for a monthly fill. Is that by choice or was the timing right for you ? I though I could get my appointments booked in advance ? :)

Hello Starsky,

Have been waiting to see someone on this site who is having their banding done in Belgium with the same surgeon on Friday 11th Sept. Just wanted to say Hi!

i was fine with the 6ml i had in the he took then out ant put 8 new ml's in t=and then i was sisk as a dog could not get anything down me at all. so i have no fill's in right now just the band and am felling so sad with it all. i wish i did not have it done right now and had the bypass insted..

lets wait untill the 10th sep and go from there ,

allan

Oh Allan you poor thing, dont be sad and disheartened, everything will turn out fine for you in the end. The bypass is so drastic.

i think your body is reacting that way maybe cos it doesnt like the band and maybe you too are thinking that way.

Think positive boy!!!!

Give it a chance, you have lost more than I have to start with.

The band does work hunny, and we are all proof of that.

they just need to find your sweet spot and it will happen, please have faith, it may seem like a long way off, but time passes so fast, bear with it for a little while longer.

love

patti xx

parrot, you are Miss organised, wow i am impressed, good on you!!!

Just a thought Allan, if you were doing good with 6mls in, why did you have another 2 put in? seems drastic, maybe 1 more ml would have done it.

I was like you for the first night after having my last fill, couldnt even swallow my own saliva, and its still tight now, but I'm losing it, so I am trying to deal with it hunny, whomever said the band was the easy way out needs to feel what we feel, then they would think twice before making such a silly comment. its not easy its hard, and we are all saints for choosing to have this op. My opinion anyway.

parrot, you are Miss organised, wow i am impressed, good on you!!!

Why, thank you Ma'am, glad to be of service! :)

(How did you guess my middle name???)

Wow SP.........Thats a great list...it should help anyone who is going through the this journey.

Well Done

Jackie

Had my stitches out today, it was totally painless, but it feels stange not to have any dressing on. Going on mushies on wednesday...I cant tell you how much I'm looking forward to some cauliflower cheese, I've been waiting for this ever since I read one of the posts on there mention it.

If anyone has some god ideas as what to eat while on mushies please can you share some with me. Dont think I'll lose much weight if I just eat scrambled eggs and cauliflower cheese!!!!

Shell......How was it for you today at the docs, getting your stitches out?

Carriejess..... your beautiful and I agree with everything Freckles has said. Everything happens for a reason, Mr right is out there somewhere, and you'll find him when you least expect to.

C A........Dont get too disheartened, youll get through this blip, everyone keeps saying how tempermental these bands are. Hopefully your next fill will be more successful..fingers crossed

Take care everyone:wink:

Jackie
