Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Thanx Slinx for the lovely compliment, I wish I was a size 10!!!!! I'm in a 16 top and almost in a size 14 pants.

But I've always been that shape :(, bigger at the top than the lower area.

My Mum and my best friend both gave me a compliment yesterday, independently, they both remarked on my shrinking bottom lol.

Slinx is correct, my band wasnt done by Dr Chris, as you can see in my sig.

How good are you going the gym 4 times a week Laila, you deserve the rewards, I'm a lazy git thats why I have so much loose skin, that and my age of course.

I used to go the gym 3 times a week a few years back, but I got fed up in the end.

Irish LBG, dont despair, like Slinky says you need a few more fills and you wont be able to eat, I had my second op in Feb 2009 and didnt get any restriction until July of that year.

It has taken me since then to lose 4 stone, but I'm almost at goal now, so dont give up and dont anyone here feel bad about themselves, we all know how it feels to be fat, and we sympathise, but you are doing the best thing you can, about it, and you will win in the end, just make sure you keep getting the fills until you can only eat a third of a cupfull, and the weight will disappear.

Wannabe slinky thank you, your a super star!! I was so worried that my band was so small it wouldn't work, and then I thought "well i bet I have stretched my pouch already anyways" and I have been kind of giving up to be honest.. I'm so ashamed, I thought that by going to the extremes of having surgery and everything that I would just cop on to what I was doing to my body and stop eating crap!! But that hasn't happen'd and I am starting to feel like a failure again, even my Mum (who btw is still a size 10-12 after 7 kids, and age 75) has been asking me "how come you haven't lost anything yet??" I thought this was going to work etc.." its just nice to talk to people who have been through the same thing and KNOW what you are going through!! Do you feel amazing having lost the weight pet? I'm dying to feel good about myself again, at the moment I feel so unattractive its horrible.. any ideas on what I should be eating until I get some restriction? because at the moment I am just eating the way I was before the op!

Hi irish

I am the exact same as u i got my band done on16th feb. I lost 14pounds the first two weeks then between 4 and 6 pounds since i lose 2 pounds then gain 2 pounds. Can eat anything and in good size portions.I even joined ww this week again and thats a road i thought i would never go down a gain.I am even contemplating going for 2 fills this month as i can go to glasgow on 22nd and edinbourgh on 28th.However if i never had the band done i would have put on about half a stone or more since feb insted of losing 18 pounds and after reading back posts on this sight it is normal what were going through think thay call it (band hell).I can relate to how you feel as everyone knew i was going for the band and keep asking me how much weight ive lost ect.I tell them i only weigh at fill time but i feel so good this seems to work for now.

Keep your chin up it will happen :D

Wow!!!! Skinny or what !!!!! 7 stone, is amazing, I'm amazed at how much energy I have now, so I'm sure you are too.

I went to manchester for a tiny defill yesterday 0.25 out, as the old acid was constant, and Constipation too (sorry to share that)

Still feel tight but the acid has gone yipee!!!! I hope I continue to lose, cos I still have that flaming stone to lose :(

I wanted it gone by the summer.

What piccy do I have hun?

Here's one taken at Xmas, I'm much the same now....only my face has filled out a little more, cos it went to look drawn when this was taken.

Hi Everyone,

Having decided to have my band done by CDB I thought I would try and get organised and stock up on the things I will need. I have a question about Protein Shakes and wondered if any of you could help. When do I have to start drinking these? and how long do I have to drink them for? Are there any decent ones on the UK market and if so where do I get them? Any other tips on things I will need in the weeks before/after surgery??

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

When I was banded last year I was told no steak / roast beef ever again and I am sure that there is reference to it on the forum. Mince was ok as it was ground. The structure of beef or steak makes it difficult to swallow and digest properly.

I wouldn't have thought you have any stuck there now as the body tends to get rid and won't put up with anything stuck in the digestive tract

However you may be swollen from vomiting. Try an ice lolly to see if this helps or suck on ice.

Wait on the defill thought for a few days

Hope ths helps

Cx

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
