Is your TT circumferential or do your incisions end somewhere around your back? Was it a spiral thigh lift? Sounds like it might have been if your incisions go across under your butt cheeks.

The incisions go around my back a couple inches, they do not meet. I am not positive as for the thigh lift. Pre-op, we had talked about if I just wanted the groin incision of the full inner upper thigh incision. I decided, for maximum results, I could live with the full upper length scar. The scar actually does not go all the way to my knee, so I am happy about that, you will never see it with Bermuda shorts on. As far is going around under my butt cheek, I did not expect that, so added bonus for me. It goes about half way across, under my butt cheek.

It sounds like you are doing well and have made decisions that are good for you. I am happy for you.. not sure if I'll ever afford $11,000 for the procedure...

I think you are gonna have a fabulous result!

Thank you so much for sharing @@Spiceyfrog

Do you happen to have any before pics where you are not holding the skin that you would be willing to share? I'm curious to see how we compare, I think our shape might be similar. I've always had a larger waist relative to the rest of me.

While I'm asking I might as well say I would love to see a back view of your incisions! Lol

The only before picture I have, is the one that I am wearing jeans in. I may have an unrelated one, I will take a look. The behind photos were not great because you cannot see my leg incisions from behind. I took some new ones today, with each leg up and you can see the leg incision and the end of the incision under my butt cheek. I also included a behind view of the tummy incision. Don't mind my saggy butt, that will be next...lol

As I was uploading I found the last picture of me in a bra, that was this time last year before my brachioplasty and augmentation/lift, that shows most of my stomach.

I read a blog of a woman who had a circumferential body lift after weight loss and while she looked normal standing up, when doing planks and pushups her skin still hung around her middle. A fleur de lis incision takes care of that side to side stretched skin and the Tummy Tuck or body lift only addresses up and down stretch, so to speak.

Hope you heal fast - i'm sure you'll be thrilled with the result! Thanks for sharing!

That's exactly why I did it. I also have an aunt who had a tummy tuck and still has a muffin top - no thank you!

Did he do any Lipo?

I'm surprised at some of the childish and negative comments that people posted in here.

@@Spiceyfrog went out of her way to share some person and honest photos and a lot of the things that people posted in here are inappropriate. I admire Spiceyfrog for not tell you all to go to hell.

I don't remember any really bad comments either. Keep doing what you're doing I'm sure you'll be happy with the results and sleep comfortably knowing you help people.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
