Hi. Just curious what was your worst day of pain post-op. I was sleeved yesterday 12/29 and I was sore of course, but day two seems worse like I've been repeatedly gut punched. I know it gets better but I was kinda hoping it would be day by day.

Hi @@Tamiroos,

I'm post-op day 9. I'd say my worst days as far as pain were 2 through 5. I've also been extremely hungry the entire time. Walking really does help. I've been walking 3x a day for about 10-15minutes each time.

Good luck!

About 10days out when the swelling went down, more movement n itching from stitches pulling..had ruptured hernia with surgery so when I thought I felt better..it shot me down a little but keep moving!

I'd say days 2-3. Probably 3 because that was my first full day at home without the glorious IV dropping pain mess into my system. But it really significantly improved every day. Day 10 now and I feel great.

I also got sleeved on 12/29, it's 12/31 at 12:43am here, my first night home. I went to sleep super early because the pain meds made drowsy and I was exhausted from the whole process of spending the night at the hospital! I do miss my pain pump thing they had attached to my stomach.

Honestly it feels like someone took a gun a shot me in the gut. Ugh! Surgery twins OP! Right there with ya!

I got out of bed which was so difficult since my bed is raised, and I had to rush to go pee. Struggling to drink even a fifth of my Propel Water. Took some more pain medicine. Walked around my house a few times to circulate. Tummy still hurts. :S

I also was sleeved 12/29 and came home 12/30. Right as I was leaving the hospital I noticed the pain was getting more intense. I think I stirred it up by getting dressed and all that movement. I asked for another pain pill before leaving. At home I basically sat in the recliner. Thank god I have help because getting up & down hurt bad. Two others I know from our class had theirs a week before and said the pain lessens after day 5.

My neck & back hurt (I'm told it's gas) along with my abdomen, majority of pain on the left side.

I guess we just have to keep at this and it'll pass. Oh boy though does my stomach area hurt.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
