Sounds crazy, I know. But had sleeve on 12/21/16. This morning woke up with both forearms from midway between elbow to top of hand aching. Almost like cramping. Otherwise fine. I had an IV only in left hand but nothing else out of the ordinary. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's possible you are experiencing some warning signs of dehydration. Keep an eye on it and stay as hydrated as possible.

You could have been clenching your fists too hard when you were sleeping .

You might need potassium boost or sodium could drop ( I get that some times). If you are allowed, drink some V8 or something like that.

Or it could just be an ordinary ache or pain. You might just be hyper aware of your body or anxious over anything going awry.

Watch and see. Obviously if it gets unbearable or consistent call you Dr.

Congrats on the surgery! Good luck

I hadn't thought of that. After settling down a bit and thinking about it. The pain gets worse with movement or cold. So I'm thinking muscular. The only med I'm taking that's new was the enoxiparin (Sp?) the blood thinner. From what I read not a side effect.

I have the same forearm pain now - I had the sleeve surgery on Monday and when I got home yesterday and woke up from a nap both my forearms were aching

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
