Where is Lipstick Lady when I need her?

I hate this season too ESPECIALLY Christmas. I'd rather hibernate than deal with life!

I wish we had this option. I feel pretty down during winter, I would love to sleep it off.

I hear ya! I came to this forum looking for some support for about 25 pounds of regain I've had in the past year, and this time of year isn't helping matters at all! I've got to get back on track before I gain anymore!

I HATE THIS SEASON!!!! I have always, even as a child hated the Christmas season! I would like to stay in bed from September to the first of March. I'm having a really hard time lately, starving and wanting to eat everything and anything!! Not sweets so much as I want comfort food. And my pouch does not get full very quickly. I rarely throw up but might retch but I never was one to throw up anyway. I'm trying to stay positive, think about my goals, read this forum a lot but I'm still having a hard time!!

I ordered myself a Fitbit and joined the New Year Challenge on this board but I think I need a kick in the butt or head!! Which is why I wonder where Lipstick lady is because she has not been posting a lot!! Hopefully by 2017 I can get back to basics!

Crap Odie this comfort food post made me suddenly think about Pouding chômeur...argh! And Swiss cheese fondue (a Christmas Eve tradition in our house)

And ho-hum in the manner that watching my peeps getting called names for offering good advice is snoresville.

I agree with that.

When your doctor clears you for it. :) Not being a smart ass, but every plan is different. I was about 6-8 weeks in before I could have the above.

No worries I understand and so I'm seeing that on here. I was just curious and trust I'm following my doctors plans

Having RNY has actually change my taste to the point where I crave hot spicy food. Prior to that I would get sick with reflux if I ate something to spicy.

Make me very very happy!!!

Me too!

We went out for Thai food last night, and I ordered hot curry. The waitress said, "It's Thai hot, not American hot!"

It was amazing. I could not have eaten it before surgery. I don't know why, but I crave spice now.

I have talked to many people about this. I know our tastes change but I am shocked at how food was clearly once more bland to me.

My son is coming from Minneapolis tonight and I am making his favorite enchiladas. Of course, I will make one very spicy for me.....not sure if he can take the heat but I love it.

I also found a spicy new snack that I absolutely love! They are sweet chili spiced pistachios. They have just enough heat in them, I could even go a little hotter but they make me happy!

The meatballs - this is a really frequent meal in our house. Frozen turkey meatballs, pop them in a pie dish or other shallow baking dish and marinara. Bake as directed (about 15 min). Top with more sauce (I'm a saucy girl) and add parm or mozzarella. Bake for another 5-7 minutes. So good, so easy. And just adjust the amount of meatballs to your family size.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
