I was jonesing for refried Beans the entire time I was restricted to liquids. I was also desperate to try EggFace's ricotta bake. Which was fine, except I discovered I'm not actually that huge of a ricotta fan... LOL.

Here's EggFaces pureed post with the ricotta bake instructions if you do like ricotta:

I don't even like refried Beans, but they sound so good mixed with some salsa! Lol

Hello :)

I actually didn't have to puree my chicken when I was on the pureed stage. You should be able to just mash canned chicken or tuna REALLY well and mix some non fat or low fat mayo with it. I did that a lot on the pureed stage.

I also did nonfat refried Beans with a little bit of light sour cream.... added my powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury unflavored Protein powder to the refried Beans and it was good.

Greek plain, nonfat yogurt (added Stevia to sweeten it), cottage cheese, wet scrambled eggs (I used Egg Beaters).

If you want extra Protein, you can mix a good unflavored Protein Powder in the cottage cheese, yogurt, beans, etc.

And of course I did my Premier Protein shakes while on the pureed stage.

Gosh -- thanks for asking: 8 eggs; 1 c Fairlife Milk; 1 c skim mozzarella cheese; 5 Tbs unflavored Unjury; three twists of black pepper.

Mix all together, spray a round cake pan with Pam, pour all ingredients in, bake at 350 for 40 minutes -- I ate about 1/8 at a time.

Second time we made it with super ground up 99% fat free turkey sausage --- about six ounces total.

I just could not stomach pureed meats either, but knew I needed to start making the switch over to more solid foods, and this did hit the spot. Good luck!

@@theantichick You were talking about refried Beans. I haven't started my puree stage yet, I start Wednesday, but my friend told me she would puree refried Beans with beef broth and Protein powder and she loved it and I thought that sounded good too and intend to try it!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
