Feeling the same as you. Just wierd and a little uncomfortable just under my ribs in the middle. Lots of wierd, awful dreams last night - so I'm hoping to nap a bit today and cut some of the pain killers. I'm on clear liquid only - no calories. Yesterday I talked them into some clear non-fat chicken broth. Such a treat. I tried warm Decaf tea and think perhaps it had some hidden caffiene. Did not feel well afterward. Must work on those tiny sips. My surgery was in Dayton Ohio. I felt that the care was exceptional. I do need to search out a support group etc. It is going to be a long haul and I have lots to loose. How about you?

I got banded on Sept 12th and feel the same way...I have been sipping on Water and also Crystal Light...but after I tried the Soup did not have such a great feeling....They say with the gas it takes up to a week and a half to get it all out....We should be doing fine in a few days...keep me up to date..

Melissa, I am on day 17 since surgery. It will take about a week till you feel "normal" again. Keep up with the liquids and you will do fine. PS. the Mushies will be a great change when you get to them. Just a little something for you to look forward to. ....Dave

I was banded Aug. 15. - almost 5 weeks ago. I was a complete mess in the first few days! Dizzy, feint, completely whacked, and awful pain in my left shoulder that I thought was going to take my head off! I didn't eat anything, resisted when anybody wanted me to drink anything - a terrible patient for my kids and hubby, let me tell you. You sound like you are doing tremendous! Kudos to you, sweetie!:clap2:

I made it thru day 5! I went to Walmart today! omg! I got so tired in walmart i had to use one of those motorized carts. I came home and slept for 4 hours. Being tired is something im not used 2. I am usually full of energy and having family members tell me to relax. I think the anesthesia is what is making me so tired. I have lost 7lbs since my surgery. I am so excited! How are you doing today?

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
