I know they say it slows down, I read it's usually the 3 week mark.

I see the Dr. On Monday I'm not sure what the rate of weight loss is that they expect, and ideas what's the norm?

Well I had RNY so mine is going to be different than yours. And age sex lifestyle diet stress all that good stuff and more can affect it. What your number sound pretty good. That's a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I know you're a woman but I don't really know the rest of the information. I can't imagine that you want to lose any faster than what you already are has that might be dangerous too.

Was your surgery recent?? If I can lose 10 a month I think that is average.

People lose like 50 the first 3 months it's crazy the stories I read on here

Starting weight: 291 lbs (June 2016)

Today: 234 lbs

My surgery is next Friday. Lost over 55 lbs without surgery, I sure hope the surgery can do better than that :)

I don't know what you're talking about but that's pretty awesome without surgery. You're going to do really good. Usually a good sign when your losing decent weight before surgery. Congratulations and good luck

Yeah it took me 5 months to lose 50 pounds. Then I really slowed down.

Especially when we are talking relative "lightweights" like the OP is (and I was), the weight loss isn't as dramatic as some that start out heavier.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
