Updates and such

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, it's me Meridian. My user name was "venomfleurs" or something like that but I could not remember my email or password. Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a small update and ask a question.

Firstly, I've lost a total of 65 pounds so far and even though my doctor said that's not good for the first year, I think it's pretty darn awesome.

Second, I got all my medical issues figured out (ie the feeling weak when standing and feeling pressure in my head). I'm anemic and they have me on extra Iron.

Third, I got engaged! To a wonderful man and things have been amazing.

My question is this and it's a bit personal but sex after weight loss surgery: I notice after oral sex my stomach hurts a lot. Is it normal for my stomach to hurt after swallowing sperm? After I do (and place let's all be adults here since we already are) my stomach hurts and I have runny bowls. I don't do it often so does this happen to anyone else? Did sex improve for you after weight loss surgery?

I haven't had surgery so I don't know but ejaculation is fast sometimes and can be more than we realize. When I used to do that on my now ex husband it would make me sick. From everything I've read on these forums you have sip slowly on things and chew slowly and thoroughly... So maybe it's just too much Fluid too fast....?

That makes sense, too much Fluid too fast because I swallow it fast because I hate the taste. I think I'll talk to my fiancé and tell him that it makes me sick and see if we can try something else. Thank you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
