Yes ma'am .. it takes me all day to get in maybe 20 oz of Water and 12 oz of Protein Drink ( 30 mg). I'm still trying my best. I am still sore and gas pains gone but my belly feels it's really , really small. I have not felt sick since discharge but today I feel really sick and weak today. I became nauseated when I drank some of my Protein Shake and then I just became sick. I will be okay. We both will. We are still healing. I have been able to use bathroom after taking dulcolax. So that's good because I was very constipated. I just don't feel good today ????????????

@@Dknal2 I am drinking the Isopure Protein Drinks and omg! It takes me past 8 pm (and I start at 8 am) to finish it. I am still sore and gas pains are still here! Hope you are doing better than me.

My VSG will be on December 21st.

I've never had surgery before. I'm sooooo nervous!

Trying think of it like an extremely expensive Christmas gift to myself. A gift that will allow me to live longer, with more joy and less limitations.

I had a scare. My potassium levels were low due to my having to take a diuretic for swelling from lymphedema, and m doctor wanted to cancel my December 20th surgery.. I had to go off the diuretic starting Saturday, and I got retested yesterday. I put as much potassium-rich foods in my system, and I was lucky to have my numbers back up. I pray nothing gets in the way now.

Definitely stop taking the diuretic, and continue eating the foods high in potassium. Mine was low for the same reason, and the morning of my surgery they delayed me and gave me two potassium drips to get it up to surgery levels in order to continue. My discharge instructions they took me off the diuretic. Keep following their orders.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
