Turkey Day BACK ON TRACK CHALLENGE- anybody interested?

Recommended Posts

I really REALLY need to still do a lot of work and as the holidays approach i'm finding it harder again.

is anybody here interested in doing a short challenge prior to turkey day? Something just to get us all going. Doesn't have to be a formal plan, just a 7 day window to post your stats, do whatever works for YOU and stay accountable daily on this thread?

I will offer it up today, we could start this Wednesday (Nov 16) and go until midnight next Wednesday.

I will offer this again for a 2 week challenge at the beginning of December.

FOR ME, this is one way to get back on track, and stay there.

Please respond by midnight tomorrow if you are interested.

Here's what would be required:

Post Day 1 stats- your current BMI for that morning

Post daily meal info- doesn't have to include macros, just what you ate, what you did for movement, etc.

Check in daily on this thread and offer support, word of wisdom, a great recipe, etc.

Last day, next Wednesday- post current BMI for that day.

No prize per se, just the satisfaction of being there for each other and trying to kick me in the butt a little. I really need this. Respond by tomorrow night if you want in. thanks!!

I am interested if you do something starting January 2017. I just had surgery 4 weeks ago and I'm not yet released for anything too strenuous.

Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

I'm pre-op but I'd still participate!

pre op and current op folks, you guys don't really need a challenge yet, you are all going to be losing with very little effort for the first MANY months post op, AND learning your post op program.

Good luck to all of you!

Come on re-gainers, let's hear from you on this challenge!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
