Day 11 what were u eating ?

Recommended Posts

@@natarshassleeve If you are allowed mushed foods - try cottage cheese (small curd), greek yogurt, hummus, creamed/strained Soups (or blended Soups - no pasta/rice), ricotta bake, chili (blend to same consistency). I'm allowed mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. - but that's only because the portions are so small and I'm still required to drink shakes for my Protein.

My plan calls for full liquids at Day 11.

I'm sick of the liquids...my husband and I are watching a movie...and they just fed someone who hadn't eaten in a while, so they were just pounding it down...and I glanced over at my husband and said..."I want to eat like that!" haha

I'm on liquids till the end of next week per my doctor checkup this week - i did find that sugar free popsicles gave me some satisfaction and they are part of the liquids part of my program - smooth greek yogurts also - I like the Carbmaster brand from Kroger - they have a decent amount of Protein.

I have to go back to work Monday - its going to be a challenge to get in my fluids

But i can't complain too much - recovery has been going pretty well

I'm 8 days out and am on full liquids. Protein shakes 2-3 times a day and I like the cream Soups. I tried Tomato Soup and almost doubled over in pain which I'm thinking is from the acid. And sugar free popsicles have been a life saver! I wish someone would tell me where I can find sugar free banana popsicles!

They have tropical flavors that are good.

Ensure works well, not to filling nor overdose of Protein which is good following surgery. Rely mostly on eggs, Protein bats and ensure.

I'm day 8 post-op and on full liquids - mostly Protein shakes, broth and sugar free Jello. I did get broccoli cheddar Soup from Panera today, added a little milk and blended it in the blender and it was amazing. I could only eat about 1/4 cup (and it made me all sorts of queasy) but it was worth it for the rich flavor!

I was just starting puréed/soft foods on day 11. On those first few days I stuck with yogurt and cottage cheese.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
