I was sleeved on September 19th - i miss chewing! It has been 22 days since my surgery! I'm not hungry but i miss being able to eat normal food! Is it tol early for broccoli? I feel it might be too stalky!

I wouldn't have raw broccoli. What stage are you on?

Hi, I was sleeved on 09.15 I am in soft/mushy food phase I. I am allowed to have broccoli but it has to be cooked and eat only the florets... I tried a couple of days ago, and it went fine... so far so good. I hope you are doing well

I'm right there with ya...sleeved on 9/12 and weighed in yesterday with no loss from prior week. Trying not to let it get to me too much.

I was sleeved 9/12 as well and no change in weight for 9 days. The week before that I only lost one lbs so I'm double irked. As for the broccoli question I have eaten it, it just has to be cooked down. I'm pretty much eating normally now but I have not tried salads yet.

I was the 13th. Why not make broccoli Soup. I know it's not crunchy but the smell and taste might take the edge off. You could add unflavired Protein too

Hey, sorry it took me so long to reply. Well, about Protein, I really struggle to meet my goal, because I hate the rtd milkshakes. I am tired of them, all the vanilla flavor taste too sweet for me now and I can't stand it. I eat a lot of Beans Soup (red kidney, split peas), however, since I don't eat that much, I don't really get a lot of protein from it. I eat also chicken that was cooked with Soup because it keeps it moisted and the nurse practitioner advised me to eat it that way... I eat scramble eggs with cheese and milk. Also, I drink close to one cup of milk, for some reason, I enjoy it cold and in the morning, specially after taking my Multivitamin. I am buying a milk from kroger called carb master and has 11 grams of protein... also I eat half of a low fat cheese stick, like sharp cheddar. All these were tips that the nurse practitioner gave me during my 2 week post op. Next Thursday I will see her again for my 4 weeks post op. I hope the info was helpful.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
