2 days post op- pain and spasms?

Hi there,

I had my sleeve surgery two days ago. I feel my sleeve and surrounding areas spasm painfully for a few seconds at a time, (kind of like a contaction) randomly. It also happens right after swallowing. Is this gas? Or something else? has anyone else experienced this?

Needing help so I can get some fluids in!

Keep trying, maybe smaller sips, and if you are drinking cold liquids, try switching to warm or hot (or vice versa). If it persists, get in touch with your surgeon because things should be improving.

Sounds like it could be gas pains. Try taking Gas-X strips to help relieve the pain. @@Bufflehead is right with cold liquids; room temp drinks are best. The first two days are tough, it gets easier
