  1. I drank an Isopure Protein drink daily. It's 40g of protein and no carbs. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. This isn't abnormal at all. Are you still taking pain medication? How much are you walking? It really helps! Also, Miralax works well to help her things going. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I went on amazon and bought a 12-pack of Isopure protein drinks. They don't taste too bad and they have 40g of Protein per bottle. Best of luck!

  7. They did scab over with some slight leakage but now one of the large incisions is about to lose it's scab and is leaking more. No pain or infection, but just a bit weepy. I just wish this would heal already; it's really depressing. Doctor keeps saying this is normal but it just doesn't seem so :\ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. I didn't get staples but glue instead. My incisions didn't start leaking after about 5 days or so. I'm 20 days out of surgery and my incisions still ooze a little and will for another few weeks. That's what my surgeon told me at least. They recommended just letting the wounds air out and clean & dry them twice a day. Bandage when necessary but change the dressing every 1-2 hours to avoid the scabs sticking to the dressing. Hope this helps and best of luck on your healthy journey!
  12. I drink an ounce of Water every 5 minutes to stay hydrated. To get Protein I drink Isopure. It's a whey Protein Drink and doesn't taste too bad. Good luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I'm 16 days out of surgery and my incisions continue to leak. I've been told to not cover them so they can air out & dry but it hasn't worked at all. I've bandaged them a couple of times when going out but when removing the dressings the wounds pull off my skin and look worse. I can't wear a black shirt every single day (any other color weeps through) so what can I do to cover each wound but still help it heal? How long does it take for the incisions to heal fully? Please help Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. @@gemigirl Unfortunately I can't use bandaids cuz they pull a lot of the wound off with it. Dr recommended wet gauze with dry on top of that but even that pulled the scab too. I'm 14 days out now and it still hasn't stopped but it definitely lessened. I'm really praying it stops soon Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Yes, it's the incision from drainage. Still getting small amounts of pink and yellow Fluid weeping from the incision. I just want it to stop so I can wear something other than a black shirt. Can anyone tell me when their incisions finally stopped draining? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Are you still taking pain medication? Those can prevent your regularity. If you are you should take Miralax to combat the effects of the pain meds. Also, walk walk walk walk. It helps with gas little by little and promotes better bowel movements. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Looking great! Keep it up! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. The anesthesia really messes with our heads for a while after surgery. Take that into consideration as well Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Pink or yellow Fluid is normal. It's the thick white, yellowish, or greenish fluid you have to watch out for Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. If you're still on pain medication it will counteract your ability to have a natural bowel movement. Miralax will help with balancing out the pain med problem Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Always best to use a food processor to make sure chucks are extremely minimal. Your pouch may still be swollen and any chunks may cause discomfort Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
